Pure Intentions
Speak to the children of Israel, and have them take for Me an offering; from every person whose heart inspires him to generosity, you shall take My offering (Shemos 25:2).Rashi explains: "and have them take for Me" means dedicated to My name (Midrash Tanchuma). If you were asked to give a donation to help rebuild the 3rd Temple wouldn't you give with a full heart and for the sake of the mitzva? Why does Chazal need to tell us that the giving of the money for the mishkan needed to be with such pure intentions?Rav Henach Leibowitz learns that even when the evil inclination cannot stop us from doing a mitzva he can corrupt our intentions and degrade our service to our Creator. We need to be constantly on guard that we do not perform the mitzvoth for honor, prestige, or other side motivations. Since we are spending much time and energy to do the mitzvoth anyway, it makes sense that we should work on purifying our motives. One mitzva done with a truly pure heart can upgrade and change the quality of our entire being.Application:
Choose one mitzva that you are going to do with absolute purity.Give 10 quick answers to the following sentence stem:
If I could do this mitzva with absolute purity, I would ...Rabbi Eliyahu Mitterhoff is the director of the Global Yeshiva. Jewelry meaning in the Jewish tradition
HamsaThe Hamesh hand or Hamsa hand is a popular motif in Jewish jewelry. Arab cultures often refer to it as the Hand of Fatima, which represents the Hand of G-d. The Hamsa serves as an ancient talismanic way of averting the evil eye and providing a "protecting hand" or "Hand of God". The Hamsa appears often in stylized form, as a hand with three fingers raised, and sometimes with two thumbs arranged symmetrically. The symbol is used in amulets, charms, jewelry, door entrances, cars, and other places to ward the evil eye. The Hamsa origin is believed to predate Islam. The symbol was previously used in Punic religion, where it was associated with Tanit. In Israel and in Jewish culture it is most commonly known as "Hamsa", without any Islamic heritage connotations. Some sources link the significance of the five fingers to the five books of the Torah or to the five pillars of Islam.Star of DavidThe symbol was used in Israel in Roman times, but it seems to have become associated with Judaism in particular only in later centuries. In the 17th century it became a popular practice to put the Star of David on the outside of synagogues, to identify them as Jewish houses of worship; however, it is not clear why this symbol was selected for this. Today, the Star of David is a universally recognized symbol of Jews. It appears on the flag of the state of Israel, and the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross is known as the Magen David Adom. The name David in ancient Hebrew is made up of three letters "Dalet", "Vav" and "Dalet". The letter Dalet in ancient Hebrew is actually a triangle. King David used the six pointed star as his signature. The six-points symbolize that God rules over the universe and protects us from all six directions: North, South, East, West, Up and Down. King David used this symbol in the battlefield on his shield as an omen from God. ChaiThis Chai symbol is simply the Hebrew word Chai (literally meaning living), with the two Hebrew letters Chet and Yod attached to each other. The word refers to the Living G-d. Judaism is very focused on life, and the word Chai has great significance. There have been various mystical numerological speculations about the fact that according to the gematrian system, the letters of Chai add up to 18.MezuzahMezuzah is a small case affixed to the doorposts and gates of Jewish homes, synagogues, and businesses. The case generally features the Hebrew letter shin inscribed on it, which protects a piece of parchment scroll, on which is inscribed two passages from the Hebrew Bible: the Shema Israel and V'havta.Every time you pass through a door with a mezuzah on it, you touch the mezuzah and then kiss the fingers that touched it, expressing love and respect for G-d.MenorahThe menorah, one of Judaism's oldest symbols, is a seven-branched candelabrum or oil lamp. It has been said that the menorah is a symbol of the nation of Israel. The design for the seven-candle menorah is given in the Torah. The menorah in the Temple had straight branches, not rounded as is often depicted. While the menorah is traditionally used to burn candles, the Temple menorah originally burned olive oil. Complaining Consumers
The salesmanâ™s job is to be well informed; extremely well informed. For this information is how he earns his bread. At a car dealership the commission over the MSRP on some cars would barely be enough to pay rent. A dealer must fight for every penny of the margin in order to receive the best paycheck. On the other hand, the consumer must also fight for every penny in order to receive the best deal. With the tools available to the consumer such as the internet there is literally no reason why anyone should complain that they were treated unfairly or âœcheatedâ by a car salesman. To these people I have a very clear message: get informed. If you are too lazy to do some serious research into the vehicle that you are about to spend $30k or $40k on, then you deserve to pay the agent every penny of the margin. There is no complaining when the tools are literally at your fingertips yet you cannot figure out how to use them. The vast array of car dealerships and the vast competition that car dealers now have with the internet, it is laughable to complain that this or that dealer tricked you or made you buy something you did not want to buy. It is all your fault. This is unfortunately a realization many people just donâ™t want to make. Why should it be my fault when the car dealer misinformed me? Because you let him misinform you. After all, car sales guys are human too and have to pay rent among other things. It is rather callous to assume that every sales guy will have your best interest at heart.Be informed. Before you go out into the market place make sure that you know exactly what you are looking for and do not back down. Never buy right away. Take your time, look around, check out the competition, let the competition them know that you are informed. If the dealer is smart his whole tactical approach to the sale will change. If he is not smart he will lose the sale, or you will lose out.Gene Leshinsky EnkiTel Communications http://www.enkitel.comEnkiTel Communications is a telecom marketing company specializing in prepaid dial around international phone plans. Anger Management: Are You Able To Say Both Yes! And No! ?
I hear from many people that they see ever increasing expressions of anger in their everyday life. Understanding the process of anger is an important topic for all of us to take a closer look at.If you take the time to delve deeper into your own anger, or resentment, you will often find that you are seriously limiting your ability to feel and express the full range of your emotions. In the process of limiting yourself, you become the victim of your emotions. You might be angry because you feel that someone else should be punished, but in the long run your anger will wind up punishing yourself. You might wind up resenting the way you are treated by others, but if you take a look you will usually find that your resentment limits your ability to feel happy in a more general sense. If you feel stuck in a situation where you can only say "Yes" then your response will not come from your heart, and your response will not be supported by the emotions your body generates. When you feel unable to say "No" then you will likely find that no matter what you say verbally, "No" becomes the default response you want to give to others. You will likely find yourself even more frustrated as you understand on an emotional level that you are never sharing your true feelings. When you are able to speak the truth of both your "Yes" and "No" in a calm manner, you will find that you experience a sense of emotional freedom and well-being.When it is all said and done, when we delve deeply into our emotions, we almost always find that our strongest and most habitual response is covering up other feelings that we are not fully aware of. We feel hurt, disrespected, abandoned, or sad, and we cover over these feelings and lose touch with them, by expressing anger or resentment instead. When we find ways to tap into our deeper emotions we invariably find that we have been neglecting some form of pain or discomfort. When we neglect or simply don't notice our deeper emotional reactions, we lose the ability to express our full range of emotions. In the process we find that by consistently expressing only one segment of our entire emotional range, we limit our ability to be happy and feel at ease within ourselves and with those that we interact with.It is important to remember that our emotions emanate from the body. When you are feeling angry, your body generates a specific set of reactions that inform your rational mind of your emotional experience. When you are feeling respected or loved your body generates a very different set of reactions. With Seishindo and other disciplines you can explore the process of how your body generates your emotional state and you can come to understand how at times you say one thing with your body and something rather different with your words. You can come to understand how you wind up confusing yourself when you say one thing with your heart and another with your logical mind. If you do wind up confusing yourself on a regular basis, you will find that your overall health and vitality suffer in the process.Only when you feel like you have the right to say "No" can you truly engage your heart in saying "Yes." Only when your body and your rational mind communicate the same message in a congruent manner, will you find yourself feeling empowered and at ease. Take the time to gently explore your feelings and you will find that your emotional well-being resides deep inside yourself, waiting to be touched and acknowledged.Charlie Badenhop is the originator of Seishindo, an Aikido instructor, NLP trainer, and Ericksonian Hypnotherapist. Ten Year Old Hockey Fan Wants to Send A Message to NHL Hockey Owners and Players
Jake Owens, a ten year old hockey fan, wants to send a message to NHL Owners, players and the league, and that message is Bring Back Hockey. When he first heard of a possible NHL strike in the summer of 2004, Jake began writing letters to the management of the original six hockey teams, pleading with them to come to an agreement with the players and not strike. When the strike happened, he decided to do something about it.I wanted to do something to let the players and owners know how unhappy fans are about the strike, said the 10 year old Owens whose favorite player is the Toronto Maple Leafs Tie Domi, I wanted to invent some way that fans could show that we just want them to start playing again. I saw a lot of people wearing Lance Armstrong bracelets and thought this would be a good way for hockey fans to show their support.Jake took the idea to his parents who started making some calls about how to get it done. They enlisted the help of Jakes best friends Dad who owns a marketing company in Toronto who loved the idea and offered to help by building a website. Jakes Dad then called around until he found the company that could manufacture the bands.I decided to make them black, just like a hockey puck, said Jake, but I also thought that black could show how sad we are that there isnt a hockey season this year. Bands can be purchased online at <a href="http://www.bringbackhockey.org" title="test" target="_blank">www.bringbackhockey.org</a> with a portion of the proceeds going to the Hockeys All-Star Kids Foundation a program which links the hockey community with the youngest victims of cancer and other diseases. The NHL and the Players' Association formed the Hockey's All-Star Kids Foundation, said Jake, and we thought it might remind them that when they work together, good things can happen. Some people are saying that no one cares that the NHL is on strike or that hockey will just go away, said the ten year old Jake, but I think people are just mad or sad and theres one thing I do know, kids love hockey and we wont ever let it go away.

Gano Coffee - Can Coffee Be Good For You?
Coffee, in all sorts, could be a âœpick me up drink â or a ✠real downer-down the shaft-drinkâ depending on how the person is affected by it. But, do you know that a single cup of coffeeâ"aside from boosting your alertness, perking you up, and even improving your concentrationâ"can actually lead you to addiction: caffeine addiction. While many people think that drinking coffee is a âœhealthyâ habit, some experts say that itâ™s very important for them to remember that coffeeâ™s main ingredient is caffeineâ"a âœdrugâ that can be abused even in mild dosages.Although now, we all know that too much coffee is bad for our health, most of us cannot help but indulge into this addicting act. Since nutritionists cannot do anything about the worldâ™s addiction to coffee, most of them continuously search for alternatives to give people better options. And one of these breakthrough alternatives is Gano coffee.Made from Ganoderma extract, Gano coffee is considered to be nutritious and healthy beverage. Recognized as the first known âœhealthy coffee,â in the world, Gano coffee is produced by growing and processing organically without the use of chemicals, pesticides, hormones or artificial fertilizers. Gano coffee gives you an energy boost - not from caffeine, but from the ancient healthy ingredient called âœGanoderma Lucidum,â that has been recognized for itâ™s amazing properties.Being a coffee that that has a lower caffeine amount compared to commercially processed decaf coffees, Gano coffee is now one of the most popular coffee crazes to catch up on the modern coffee drinking world. Contrary to the common conception, Gano coffee is not a âœsubstitute coffeeâ but an âœalternative coffeeâ that gives you the richer flavor than fully-caffeinated coffee. Gano coffee also allows you to continue savoring the full-bodied flavor you are getting in a premium instant coffee while providing you more energy than your usual caffeinated drink.Proven as a delicious and nutritious drink, Gano coffee gives you more vigor while reducing you stress and fatigue. Among the so many benefits of drinking gano coffee include the detoxification and rejuvenation of your body while strengthening your immune system. Since Gano coffee contains less net caffeine than most of your other favorite caffeinated beverages, you can actually enjoy the benefits and delicious taste of a âœhealthy coffeeâ that is good for your wellbeing. And with every cup of gano coffee you drink, you are making it as a healthy habit. With every cup of gano coffee you drink, you are getting a âœcaffeine jumpstartâ that will last for hours without the caffeine. Aside from making gano coffee as a good habit, here are some hints on how you can keep your coffee habit as healthy as possible especially if you are an avid coffee lover.Although you are a person that has higher âœcaffeine urgencyâ than the others, you must still listen to what your body says. When it says it can no longer take an extra cup, learn not to let your urgency control over you. If you still donâ™t resort to drinking healthy coffee like gano coffee, always be aware of the caffeine content of your coffee since it varies widely depending on brewing and roasting methods. And though most research says that drinking 1-3 cups of coffee a day does not seem to have any negative effects in most healthy people, always make sure that you know the level of caffeine intake especially if you are undergoing any medications.Terry Dunn is Webmaster of http://www.Ganoderma-Online.com - a Informational Resource about Ganoderma

Successful Sales People Know Which Differentiators Matter
Know where to focus. Not everyone evaluates product solutions with the same decision criteria. When sitting toe-to-toe with a prospective client, how well do you answer the question, âœWhat sets you apart from your competitor?âTom Snyder, vice president of Huthwaite â" the creators of SPIN Selling â" says in the audio book, âœSound Advice on Sales Strategies,â that professional sales people often have trouble articulating what makes their offerings unique.âœIn this day and age,â he says, âœitâ™s all about creating customer value, and that means more than just explaining what your product can do that no one elseâ™s can.âœSnyder says the answer should change from customer to customer, depending on their specific needs. âœPrice may be paramount in one clientâ™s mind while quick delivery or installation could be the deal clincher for another.âWhen asked about differentiators, Snyder recommends sales people first ask themselves what differences will matter to this specific client. âœSuccessful sales professionals know this, and more importantly, they know how to make the sharing of these differentiators a value-creating opportunity, not just a value-communicating event.âTom Snyder offers advice on planning and executing sales strategies each week in the free audio-newsletter from Whatâ™s Working in Biz, http://www.whatsworking.biz/full_story.asp?ArtID=92About The AuthorRichard Cunningham is a principal of Whatâ™s Working in Biz, http://www.whatsworking.biz, a publisher of business audiobooks and online audio programs on marketing, sales, and small business strategies.

Letters from Christ: the Calligraphy of the Spirit
Their reasoning must have been, "This is the precious gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! No amount of effort or expense would be wasted. Let's make it beautiful."And beautiful falls short in describing these manuscripts! They dyed the finest parchment purple and carefully sewed them together into quires of four sheets which, when folded, made sixteen pages. Several of these quires they tied together to form a codex, the ancient equivalent of a book. Scribes then copied the words of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, using gold and silver ink.In one particularly beautiful manuscript, the words of Jesus and angels appear in crimson or gold; words quoted from the Old Testament and quotations of the disciples are blue; the words of the Pharisees, of Judas Iscariot, and of the devil are black; and all the other words are vermillion. This masterpiece resides in the National Library of Paris. We find the beauty and craftsmanship of such manuscripts impressive, but these products of parchment and pen are not nearly as beautiful witnesses to the gospel as the epistles Paul describes in Second Corinthians chapter 3, verse 3: "You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."When people see what we do, can they discern the gold and silver letters of the imperishable gospel imprinted on our hearts? Can they see the calligraphy of the Holy Spirit in the attitudes we display: our love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control? Can they recognize the divine hand as it transforms us into the image of Jesus Christ? We can make it so by God's grace. Our place is not in a museum or a national library, but in the houses and on the streets of town, instantly available to anyone who wants to stop and read. No amount of effort or expense is wasted to make our lives beautiful to those who would read Christ in us. Transforming Your Sales Force by Creating Specific Expectations
I just finished a phone call with a potential client who had called to discuss a problem. His 18 person sales force was paid on straight commission. All had been with the company for 8 - 15 years and were earning healthy incomes. His problem was that he couldn't get them to do what he wanted them to do. Here's the example he shared. He wanted the salespeople to call on new prospects to expand the company's base. Instead of just seeing established customers, he asked them to call on prospects, and report back to him on the progress they were making. There were almost no results. Instead he got comments like: "I'm not going to do this, I'm not a new salesperson." Or, "That's just more paperwork." This list could go on and on. The salespeople resented being asked to do something they saw as outside of their responsibilities, and the manager was extremely frustrated. This is a classic example of the chronic malady I call a lack of "directability."The problem is that management has not cleared up this murky difference of opinion. It may be, of course, that the salespeople choose to ignore management's direction. That's a different but associated problem. It really doesn't come into play until the expectations are made clear. For example, one of my clients moved his company to a CRM system. He gave the salespeople six months to learn to type, offered to pay for a typing class for them, and mandated that on a date approximately six months from now, the company would totally implement the CRM system. That meant that every sales person would be expected to use it to record sales calls, customer information, and etc.The expectations were perfectly clear. At the end of the six months, three of the salespeople had not improved their typing skills. When asked about the use of the system, they responded, "We're sales people, not clerks. We're paid to sell, not enter information."In this case, the expectations were clear, but the sales people held onto an outmoded definition for their jobs. The company's course of action was clear and those three salespeople were replaced. While there are a number of things that should be done to cure this patient, they begin with an often-overlooked initiative - creating a clear set of expectations for the job of the sales person. This malaise of undirectability has, at its heart, a difference of opinion as to what the salesperson should do. The sales people believe that taking care of their current customers and being rewarded by a portion of the gross profit is the total extent of their responsibilities. Management believes otherwise. The difference in these basic expectations generates conflict, resentment and frustration almost daily. This negative condition leads, of course, to dismal productivity. The sales manager continually squanders his time in the dubious effort of trying to shape the behavior of the salespeople. The salespeople focus on doing exactly the opposite of what management asks so that they can build their case and prove their point. There is another, longer range and more sinister effect. The company caught in this kind of malaise has virtually no ability to implement any strategic initiative. For example, let's say that the company has decided to take on a new product line. Management sees the new line as holding excellent future potential to grow into a category that is a minor piece of business at the moment. As management looks ahead, they see this category growing, and want to use this line to position the company in this promising segment. So, management makes a commitment to the new line, buys the beginning inventory, loads the SKUs into the computer, works out the pricing columns, posts the products on its website, and educates the customer service department. One last, but essential piece remains - harness the power of the sales force to generate business.Management calls the sales force together, brings in the manufacturer's rep, and introduces the new strategic initiative. At the end of the day, the sales manager announces that, because of the importance of this line to the company's future, every salesperson should introduce it in every one of his good accounts in the next 30 days. The sales force nods gravely, and then goes out and does whatever they have been doing for the last few years. At the end of the 30 days, virtually nothing has been done.Sound familiar? I have sketched this scenario to thousands of principals and CSOs at annual meetings and national conventions. I then ask the question, "If you were in this situation, what would be the likelihood that every one of your salespeople would do what you asked them to do?" The response is dismal. How about you? Take a moment and reflect on the state of "directability" of your sales force. Now, consider the implications. If you cannot implement a strategic initiative like this, what is the future for your business? Do you have a future? You can see why I am so adamant on the importance of a "directable" sales force. It is one of the most valuable assets you can have. Almost to the point that your company's future may well depend on it.There are a number of causes of this situation: 100% commission compensation plans, salespeople who have been around a long time, highly paid sales people, a corporate culture that promotes the idea that a sales person "has his own business." All these contribute to the situation. The cure is to address each of these, making changes that I have discussed elsewhere in the book. But, before you can do that, you need to attend to the first step: Creating and communicating a precise set of expectations to the sales force that describes their jobs and what you expect them to do.Once you have done that, you will have laid the groundwork for the changes that should follow. The point is this. It is difficult to create change in the behavior of a salesperson in the absence of a clear set of expectations. That document is not a guarantee that the salespeople will change, but it is necessary to direct the process. It's necessary, but not sufficient. It's the first step. How to...First, let's start from the end. What are you going to end up with? There is room for lots of variation on the format and formula. I like to see this: One side of one piece of paper, on which you spell out the following things:An overview of the job.
The most important seven activities for success in the job.
The definition of how success is measured.
To whom salespeople report to.
What sort of attitudes you expect.
The question then becomes, how do you get to that point? Again, there are multiple paths. You may want to draft it yourself, or do in conjunction with a group of key executives. You may want to appoint a task force.Should you involve the sales force? I'm ambivalent. On one side, I'm a little hesitant to advocate that you ask the sales force or that you add a salesperson to the task force. Unless the person you involve is especially mature, the likelihood is that the sales people will input in ways that are in their own personal self-interest, not necessarily the good of the company. This is especially true if they are 100% commissioned. On the other hand, I've seen clients who have involved a mature salesperson with good results. So, the answer depends on the specifics of your personnel, as well as the corporate climate in your organization.Regardless, at some point, you will have a document. Now you need to communicate that. And that calls for a sales meeting with all the key players in attendance. It's important that the CEO be involved, to lend credibility and authority to the proceedings. The sales people must understand that there is no opportunity for an appeal to a higher source, that there is no negotiation on your expectations. It is always a good idea to give the "Why's" of the expectations, particularly if the expectations represent a major shift from current practice. It's also a good idea to encourage dialogue and discussion. Use the meeting as an opportunity to encourage people to mentally process the information. There is a line, however, between discussion and negotiation. I take a hard-line view on this issue. I really don't think it is up to the sales people to tell you what they should do. I think that is management's job.You don't allow your CSR to explain that they don't think they ought to answer phones. Nor is it acceptable for your warehouse foreman to refuse to take inventory. There is plenty of room for sales people to define the "hows" of their job. But the "What's "are the province of management. What's next? The written set of expectations, clearly communicated, won't by itself, make transformational changes in many sales people. A few may have an "ah-ha" insight, but it will take more than just this to power the change you want. However, the expectations are necessary to set up the changes to come. It's like outfitting a sailboat. You need to put the mast in place. A mast by itself, without a sail, a rudder and a keel, will do absolutely nothing to move the sailboat. But, you can't hoist the sail until you fix the mast.So it is with a written, communicated set of expectations. It is a necessary, but not sufficient, step in the process of transforming your sales force.~~~~~~~Excerpted with permission of the publisher, from the Transforming Your Sales Force for the 21st Century, Copyright 2004, by Dave Kahle. Types of camcorders
Types of camcorders
If you are planning on purchasing a camcorder, you should be familiar with the types of camcorders and how they can benefit your specific needs. The formats of video cameras include, VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8, Mini Digital Video (Mini DV), DVD and Digital 8. Each format has its pros and cons
VHS
The VHS format is the oldest type of camcorder. This type of video camcorder is fast becoming outdated, because you can only play back the video on a VHS VCR system. VHS camcorders are not nearly as clear as digital video camcorders that offer clear video with 540 lines of resolution, VHS video cameras only offer 240 lines of resolution. They also weigh more and are much more bulky, that dv camcorders. You can only find these video camera used because their technology is now outdated.
VHS-C
The VHS-C format offer 240 lines of resolution, just like VHS. These analog camcorders come in a smaller size that the VHS camcorder models, but use the same technology. The video tapes used in VHS-C camcorders are much smaller in size than VHS, just in a smaller camcorder design. VHS-C is considered old technology and not used today in newer models.
8mm
If you are looking to record more than 1 hour, then 8mm camcorders are perfect. These video cameras can record up to 5 hours of footage and they offer better video quality that VHS cameras. In order to view video from your 8mm video camcorder, you need to connect the camcorder to input jacks on your TV or your VCR system.
MiniDV
MiniDV, short for mini Digital Video off the clearest and most vivid colors out of all the types of camcorders on the market, and they"re small in size only 4 inches in width and height. Mini dv camcorders can fit in the palm of your hand, making them very easy to handle and transport. And if you like editing your video footage you can connect dv camcorders to your computer system. Transferring the video is a snap with the FireWire connection. Once the footage is in your computers hard drive you can burn it to dvd, add it to your web site or email small clips to friends and family.
Digital8
Digital8 camcorders offer the best of both worlds, Hi8 and DV. You can use 8mm and hi8 video tapes combined with the best image quality found in digital camcorder formats. Digital8 camcorders are larger and heavier than Mini DV camcorders, but they are also cheaper in price. The Digital8 system offers 540 lines of crystal clear resolution.
DVD Camcorders
The newest form of digital video cameras are DVD camcorders. These camcorders are small in size, just like Digital8 and Mini DV camcorders. The big difference compared to other camcorder systems is that DVD camcorders use recordable DVD discs such as DVD-R or DVD-RW. The big benefit to dvd video cameras is that they can be played on your home DVD player, and of course the quality is the best you can find.
Price comparisons
If you want to buy the cheapest priced camcorder go for a VHS analog camcorder, you don"t get the same quality as digital camcorders however if you plan on filming family vacations this should be sufficient for your needs. Then there are DVD camcorders, they are the most expensive of digital video cameras, but at the same time, they are the newest technology offering the best image and sound quality. Lastly is the mini dv format, this is probably the best camcorder for the price and quality. Small in size and reasonably priced. Review top manufacturers such as Panasonic, Sharp, Canon and Sony which offer the very popular Sony Handycam.

Don't Run Before You Can Walk!
Most of us assume we know how to run, after all it's just putting one foot in front of the other, just like walking only a bit faster – right? Well, not quite. Although walking and running are quite different activities, you can learn a lot from the act of walking that will help your running.Whether an experience runner or beginner, we all have bad 'movement' habits that will show up in our running technique. But because they are habits (subconscious conditioned reflexes) they are not easy to see for yourself. Walking, rather than running, provides you with a good opportunity to assess your concept of movement. What you learn from observing your walking technique can be taken into running.Try the following experiment.1. Go for a gentle stroll in the park and leave your competitive runner's attitude at home.2. As you walk be aware of the movement in your hip, knee and ankle joints. Please note your hip joints are at the front of your pelvis and not the sides. Allow your legs to swing from the hip and let your lower leg swing from the knee without effort – like a pendulum.3. See how much effort you can take out of the act of walking and just allow your limbs to swing.4. Think about releasing muscles and joints rather than the effort involved.5. Be aware of the ground beneath your feet and think of 'walking tall' by using the upward thrust from the ground in response to your body weight coming down.6. Start slowly and start to build up speed but not by trying harder. To increase your speed let your arms swing a little faster but without lifting your shoulders. If you can leave your legs alone they will increase speed to match your arms so you will be moving faster without the effort you probably think is necessary. The purpose of this experiment is to appreciate gravity's role in movement. You are pulled down towards the planet but then there is 8000 miles of solid rock beneath you that pushes back up (Newton's 3rd law – for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction). So let the ground push you up and let your legs stroke the ground away from underneath you like a giant treadmill. If you can learn to walk with minimal effort and lessen the strain on you joints and muscles, you can learn to apply the same principles to your running, Lighten up and let your limbs flow to propel you forward and up without the tension many use in a misguided effort to run faster. Running becomes a whole lot easier, and more enjoyable, if you can let your body move as nature intended.Roy Palmer is a teacher of The Alexander Technique and has studied performance enhancement in sport for the last 10 years. Forums A One Way Ticket To Easy FREE Traffic
If you are not using forums in your website now may be a good
time to get started. With Google and Yahoo putting the emphasis
on fresh new content, it is important for search engine
optimization purposes to be adding fresh new content to your
site on a daily basis. Forums can help get you that fresh new
content. If done correctly you will have fresh new content added
on a daily basis from your users and visitors with very little
effort on your part.
Recently I have discovered just how easy it is to add a PHP
bulletin board (forum) to my web site. First you need to
download the script from http://www.phpbb.com . It's a free
download so don't worry and they have a support section that
explains how to install the script.
You will also need to make sure your host has PHP support and a
MYSQL database configuration. In most cases this is an upgrade
from your basic hosting package but the cost is minimal compared
to the services that you will receive. PHP is a very powerful
tool for your website.
If you don't know anything about PHP or MYSQL, don't worry
about it. I use 2 different web host providers and in both cases
the support I got was excellent. Both host providers voluntarily
installed my PHP bulletin board script for me. All I had to do
after it was installed was to go to my administration panel and
start adding the subjects for my new forum.
Once you have set up your forum you will need to tell everyone
about it. A forum is no good if there is nobody posting to it.
If you have an e-mail list or e-mail a newsletter periodically,
e-mail your list telling them about your new forum and inviting
them to join.
One of the best ways to get new members to your forum is to use
other forums. Put a link in your signature file inviting members
to your forum. I currently have around 20 forums that I am a
member of and try to post to on a regular basis. My signature
file contains a link to my forum and to my blog. This also
creates free traffic to my web site. I have heard of people who
post to 100's of forums on a regular basis just to get free
traffic to their site. If you do this be very careful not to
spam the forums. Only use affiliate links in your signature
file. And always try to post something useful to the readers or
it may be considered spam.
Once you start getting posts on your new forum from new users
try to respond as much as you can. If it's the person's first
post, be sure to welcome them to the forum and offer any
assistance that they may need. The more posts on your forum the
better. You don't want people going to your forum to find
nothing. It is better to have 30-40 posts all from yourself than
to have no posts at all. When I started my first forum I did
exactly that just to get it started and I continue to add posts
on a regular basis.
Eventually your forum will take on a life of its own, creating
fresh new content on a daily basis, giving you better search
engine rankings, and all the FREE traffic your website can
handle.

Profiting from Google Video
Google video is now a fast growing repository of video clips of all shapes and sizes, and has opened up some new strategies for Ecommerce website owners to profit from. Here we will explore how you can use this service to generate customers.Google video (www.video.google.com) and You Tube (www.youtube.com) are the two main video clip websites. Here, you can search and watch video clips on thousands of different subjects – from trailers, through to tutorials through to peoples plain old funny home video clips. That's all very well, but how can you, as an online retailer, profit from this?- Tutorials and short "how to" tipsYou could record short clips (most are under 5 minutes) of tips or tutorials relating to your field. Here are several examples.Golf: Search for golf tips and you will find a plethora of choice, from tips on chipping from the rough, playing bunker shots, curing that slice and much more. If you are selling anything golf related, make your own video or enlist the aid of your local golf pro.Fly fishing: Here we find tips of fly tying, finding the best locations, casting and much more.Dog training: this search returns lots of video clips on different training techniques, including police dog training. If you are in the sports, recreation or hobby markets, there are lots of opportunities for you to upload "how to" type videos. I even came across a lap dancing video, uploaded by a company that sells pole dancing equipment!- Product comparisons In marketplaces such as audio visual, there is ample opportunity to compare different products or product types. For instance, what are the benefits and advantages of Plasma televisions versus LCD tvs? In the fitness industry, what are the different training supplements available and what would suit you best? For clothing retailers, how about a premiere of this seasons latest fashions?- Product user guidesAgain this one works well in technical marketplaces such as audio-visual and computers. For instance, How to set up your home audio system, what you need to view High definition TV, how to set up a wireless home network.Or something a bit simpler . . food retailers, how about some quick and easy recipes using the ingredients you sell?Equestrian retailers .. how about clips on correct saddle care, how to fit a saddle, or reviews of timesaving accessories.- Funny clipsPerhaps you can make (or obtain! ) a funny clip relating to your marketplace. Funny skiing accidents (for ski shops), hilarious banger racing clips (for motor part retailers) or crazy baby antics (for baby wear and equipment retailers). The funnier they are, the more likely they will get passed around the Internet.Getting trafficThere are several ways these videos can get you traffic. First you need to "brand" your video, by adding graphics to it. You could be technical and add a graphic banner at the bottom quoting a short message and your website address, if you have video editing software. Alternatively, just make the last shots of your video a close up of your web address on a sign or the front of your premises.Users who search and find your videos, will then have your website promoted to them. One extremely powerful benefit is the viral factor – the passing round of video clips by email by friends who have the same interests. This works extremely well if you have an original, funny clip – you could find your visits "take off" if the clip is passed around the Internet.Additionally, many content based sites are able to feature video clips from Google, thereby giving you a free advertisement on their site if they decide to use yours. How to record and upload your videoYou can use digital cameras, camcorders or even mobile phones to record the videos, and the quality does not have to be massively high, so long as its clear enough to see.To upload video clips to google, you need to go to www.video.google.com and select the upload link at the top. If you don't already have an account (for adwords, adsense ,gmail or other Google services), you can create one free of charge. Currently Google accepts AVI, MPEG, Quicktime, Real, and Windows Media formats. As well as Google, the other main video clip repository is www.youtube .com which accepts formats from most digital cameras, camcorders and cellphones using .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats. There are massive opportunities right now, for online retailers to get in early on the video clip boom, and promote their products, services and business to a wide audience. Looking for a Japanese Kanji Tattoo?
It is a good idea to keep in mind before you decide upon a tattoo that kanji as an art is based on a different form of language unlike english in its construction. Be should be sure to spend time researching the authenticity of each symbols' meaning. It could be rather embarrassing to learn later on after you have been tattooed that the Kanji tattoo you thought meant one thing turned out to be something completely different. It has to be said that Japanese kanji tattoos seem to be much more popular in the West than they are outside of Japan. I would be like an American going into a tattoo studio and asking to have "Wealth" or "Power" tattooed onto their chect or arm!If you don't speak Japanese it is very hard to find characters that say what you want and are not something that will turn heads with native japanese speakers for all the wrong reasons. Trusting a non native speaking tattoo artist is recommended either as the tattoo artist may be as much in the dark as you are. It is highly recommended that you do your reasearch before rushing off to get a kanji tattoo character done.READ THIS before you get a Japanese Kanji Tattoo!

Cheap Flight Tips to Reduce Your Airfare Today
Here are 14 quick tips to help you find that cheap flight and lower the cost of your next airline ticket.Flexibility is the keyBe flexible with your potential flight dates and always plan ahead of time. Air ticket prices are highly dynamic and depend on demand, supply and competition.Know your market! For the route you want to fly monitor the airfares for a while and try to find out the lowest published fare. Donâ™t accept the very first fare you find.Fly off-seasonFly during 'off-peak' or 'shoulder' seasons. Do not fly during the peak time of year. (If you do make sure you book well in advance!)Fly midweekFlights that depart during the midweek (Tuesday to Thursday) tend to be cheaper from less demand. Avoid Friday and Sunday evenings and Monday morning.Hit the red-eyeVery early morning or late evening flights are less busy - and can sometimes be cheaper than flights in the middle of the day. Peak hours when flights are at their fullest are 8 to 11am and 4 to 7pm. Good deals can be found on 'red-eye' overnight flights which people like to avoid.Holiday periodsFly on a major holiday when demand plummets - there can be some incredible deals available. Avoid flying just before and after the holidays when people are travelling back home.Check ticket restrictionsBeware the infamous Saturday night stay restriction - some airlines still have this. Check your carrrier's terms and conditions.Stay less than a monthMany fare tariffs have a 30 day maximum stay restriction. In other words if you stay longer than 30 days the ticket will be more costly.CircumnavigateFlying long-haul in business class or first class? Always get a quote on a round the world ticket and compare prices. Round-the-world business class and first class airfares are often cheaper than a full fare return trip - and you will get many more exciting stopovers for free.Take a detourFlights with a change of plane at a connecting airport are usually cheaper than non-stop flights. You pay less for the inconvenience.Hub it!If flying long-haul into Europe it may be cheaper to fly into a budget hub like London for 2 reasons. The first is that flights to London are often cheaper than flights travelling to other destinations on the continent. Secondly, London is a hub for a myriad of budget airlines (low-cost discount carriers) which have extensive networks all over Europe. The main two are Ryanair and Easyjet and using them can save you hundreds of dollars while allowing a high degree of flexibility in terms of one-way flights.Check the codeIf your flight is 'code shared' then check the price of the same flight with different alliance partners. There can often be considerable price differences between airlines. Taking the One World alliance as an example, you should check the price of the same flight with both American Airlines and British Airways.Get on the listSign up to the newsletters of your favourite airlines and travel sites. You will be the first to see any special offers and deals.Invest in yourselfIf you are a serious international traveller looking for superb insider strategies to reduce your flight costs then you really should invest in the Ultimate Airfares & Upgrades guide. Attracting Success
We all wish to be successful and yet somehow we seem to be missing the target. In this article we will show you how to become more successful in all your endeavors.Success often eludes many people. Like the inevitable pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, people set their hearts on following their dreams only to wake up disappointed.
Disappointment can be crushing to people. They sit and wonder what on earth they did wrong. They may have a strong belief in that pot of gold, but a dream alone cannot make your visions a reality. You may have read a myriad of books and followed all the rules and imagined yourself as the successful person that you want to be. Your vision may be crystal clear and that is a good thing. The Bible says, "Without a vision the people perish". The problem remains that envisioning yourself as successful is not enough. What are your dreams?
What are you hopes for the future?
Have you ever written them down?If you could be anything that you wanted to be and go where you wanted to go, who would you be? What would you be like? Where would you be living?I want you to take a few moments now and write down the answer to these questions. Be as specific as you can so you can visualize these things as being true today. Crystallize these ideals in your mind.Don't cheat here, this is an important exercise, now go and write the answers down on a piece of paper, or better still in a book. You can call this your Dream Book to Success. Now ask yourself this question: What do I need to do in order to live the life I dream of?What do I need to do to make my dreams a reality? The first step is to make sure you do not put off the vision too far in the distance. Don't live on tomorrow's sunshine. At the same time, don't expect to have a change overnight. There is no magic pill that is going to bring about your dream. There is no easy road that will bring you to the Emerald City.Someone once said "the road to success is filled with hard knocks" and this is reality. You CAN achieve your dreams only if you systematically prepare yourself to receive them. You also must believe that you CAN receive them.Henry Ford said, "If you think you can you can, and if you think you can't, you can't"If you believe that you CAN achieve your dreams then it's time for you to start planning on how you are going to make your dreams of success come true. Don't let fear sabotage your thinking. If you have faith, you can move mountains! Sometimes though a mountain must be moved a piece at a time. This takes planning. No amount of wishful thinking will get you what you want. Your vision may be crystal clear but with out a plan it's just a dream. You need to plan your life in order to get the results you wish for.You need to set goals for yourself. I know, you hate the thought of setting goals, but unless you put it down in writing and give it a date, it won't happen. I can guarantee it.Do you see yourself as slim and sitting on a beach somewhere? Well if you need to lose weight, dreaming isn't going to make it happen. You must write down your goal for losing weight. In order for my dream to come true I must lose __________ pounds. This is a good start. Now visualize yourself standing in front of a mirror weighing your perfect weight. Doesn't that feel good? This is your target, your dream, your vision. Now ask yourself, in order to reach that goal, what steps do I need to take today. Is it reasonable to say to yourself that you could lose 10 pounds a month? Too much? How about 4 pounds a month? Can you make a decision to yourself to lose 1 pound a week. In a year that would be 52 pounds! If you lost 2 pounds a week that would be 104 pounds! See how much you can do by breaking your goals down to bite size pieces. Your mountain can literally be moved piece by piece, or pound by pound in this example. Voila ! Success! There is nothing mystical in making your dreams a success. In every situation you can do it piece by piece until your mountain is moved and you achieve Success. This article is bought to you by Sharron Myers.

Thailand Women Are Unique
The world often sees the women of Thailand very differently than they actually are. Much of Hollywood would love society to think of Thai women as these sexual beings that do nothing but submit to prostitution and other sexual acts regularly. The truth is however, that Thai women are quite conservative. In fact, their purity is something that is not only expected, but also required. One thing that makes the women of Thailand so unique is the fact that they do take their purity seriously. When they go on dates, there is very little physical contact at all. Holding hands is something that is seen as being intimate. They do not have pre-marital sex and are honored to be pure when they marry. This fact makes them quite appealing on many levels. They are not the dirty prostitutes the world thinks they are. They are pure and spiritual. In addition, the women of Thailand are very domesticated. They aren't well educated in most cases, however they do know how to keep a clean house. They are great at entertaining and cooking and will be sure their mate is completely happy. They see marriage as a way to stay out of the world of prostitution that draws so many Thai women in.They are morally strong, which makes them incredibly attractive to many people. They stand by what they feel, even if it means they must be poor or do without certain things. In fact, many women will live in poverty to keep their morals in tact, instead of lowering themselves to prostitution.Check Out More Articles:punjabi girl for marriage hindu , windsor's online dating ,

Strongly Scented Candles: Use your mouth, nose and eyes to tell
Triple scented, heavily scented, strongly scented - these are all phrases candle manufacturers are using to tout their claim that their candles have more "smell" for your buck. In reality, these claims only act to confuse most consumers. Candles are made with so many different wax blends, it can be difficult to know for sure how well a cold candle will perform until it is lit. That means, in most cases, buying the candle first. So what can you do if you're eager to try a new candle scent or candles form a new company? Use your senses to make sense of the scents!A primer on candlemaking: for traditional paraffin candles, while the ingredient list may differ from maker to make, the concept is the same: refined petroleum distillates (paraffin wax) is combined with additives and a wick is incorporated to make the finished candle product. The more refined the paraffin, the fewer impurities there are in the wax, which helps reduce sooting or contamination in the candle. Many companies tout "food grade wax" which means that the wax (not the additives mixed with it) is suitable in food related uses (like canning). Once you throw additives into the mix, that claim doesn't mean as much.Additives like vybar, stearic acid, translucent and lustre crystals all have a different effect on the wax. Some are hardeners, while others cause the product de-mold more easily, and others still give the candle a different glow quality. Fragrance and color, which are also wax additives mind you, can further affect the burn and, obviously the fragrance, of the candle mix. Ultimately, the wick is what carries all those chemicals to the flame, releasing your favorite aroma into the air. It is the combination of these additives that give each candle a distinct character. As for "triple scented" and the like, this stems from old candlemaking wisdom that suggests using approximately 1/3 - 1/2 ounce of fragrance per pound of your wax recipe. this is called your fragrance load. Those additives can serve as an oil binder, helping to lock in fragrance and color, depending on the oil content of the same. Thus, a "triple scented" candle is one that uses roughly 1 to 1.5 ounces of fragrance per pound of wax.Depending on the wax blend, however, a candle may or may not be able to hold that much fragrance without leeching or burning improperly. Leeching occurs when the oils from the fragrance or coloring seep from the candle. It is more apparent in a tealight, because it has a greasy appearance inside the cup. It will also tend to soot more because of the excess oil that is burning. Candles that hold in too much of that fragrance just won't have the wonderful aroma you desire when it burns. So how do you combat all this? First, use your mouth. Ask questions about how the candle is made, or visit the website of the candle maker. While you're not likely to get their secret recipe from them, you should be able to get candle basics like burn times, wick content and fragrance load. Ask for a sample. While you may not get a department store to oblige, many on-line retailers will be glad to let you sample their wares, especially since you may not feel comfortable trying a product you've never smelled before!Next, use your nose. A cold candle should have a good scent throw (a normal nose should be able to smell it about an arm's length away). Compare the cold throw of your new fragrance to ones you've previously tried. This is the way most people select their candles, and on the whole should be a fair indicator of the relative strength of the fragrance when it burns. Further, use your mouth again. When you smell the candle, can you taste it? Fragrance that lingers will usually leave an aftertaste in your mouth. If you're comparing several scents, sniff back and forth several times using deep inhalations. Try not to get light headed, and after a while, one fragrance should become more prominent. Your brain is processing out the weaker fragrance, and all you'll be able to smell is the stronger one. This works for food scents as well as other non-food fragrances. Now look at the candle. According to a national survey, color is one of the least important reasons for buying a candle (scent is number one). While color may make a difference in your choice, what you're really looking for are three things: texture, leeching and wicking. Does the candle appear smooth and glossy or rough, even bubbly? With the obvious exception of novelty candles (like "snow" candles), a well-made candle should be smooth, with no pockets, bubbles or mars. It shouldn't look like an oil slick, either - a sure sign of leeching. Finally, look at the wick, if you have a 3 inch pillar in your hand, you should have roughly a 30-ply wick in there (certainly not a votive sized wick!). The candle will burn too slow, and eventually drown out if the wick is too small. Too big, and the wax is consumed too quickly, creating lots of smoke and soot. Cotton wicks burn hotter than zinc cored wicks, and nearly all metal cored wicks in the US are zinc, not lead. This is another misconception the candle world has foisted on consumers. Lead wicking was all but done away with in the US, when a pact was signed by US candlemakers decades ago. Foreign manufacturers may still use them, however, so know teh country of origin for your candles. Basically every US candlemaker should be using lead-free wicking, so that claim doesn't mean much anymore. With a little practice, any candle connoiseur can become a pro at sniffing out the strongest scents. This method also works with other candle types as well. Soy and gel candles both burn slower than traditional paraffin and can hold more fragrance. A recent addition to the candle market, resin-based candles, hold even more fragrance such that scent throw on a cold candle can be significant even from a few feet away. In any case, trust your senses. If you doubt your own, borrow a friend! Between you, the real scent sleuthing will become clear.Lisa Robbin is the Director of Product Development for the giving candle, the maker of Heavenly Gems resin-based clear candles. How To Identify An Allergic Asthma?
An allergic asthma. It is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the lung airways. It's symptoms are made worse by exposure to an allergen (e.g., dust, mold, pollen, dust mite allergens and animal dander) to which the patient has been sensitized. A simple sneeze could trigger allergic asthma or a simple cough could lead to that as well. What are the symptoms of allergic asthma? The symptoms of allergic and non-allergic asthma are the same. They include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath or rapid breathing, and chest tightness. These symptoms are often provoked by an identifiable trigger. What factors can cause or trigger allergic asthma?A family history of allergies is the most important predictor of whether a person will develop asthma. Environmental substances (allergens) can trigger an exacerbation - or attack - in patients with allergic asthma. The allergens include tree, grass, and weed pollen, plus molds, animal dander, dust mites and cockroach droppings. Asthma attacks can also be triggered by viral infections, exercise, cold air and non-specific irritants. How many people suffer from allergic asthma?Allergic asthma is the most common form of asthma. According to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, of the 17 million asthma sufferers in the United States, 10 million (approximately 60 percent) have allergic asthma. Three million are children and 7 million are adults. What is the relationship between allergies and allergic asthma? Most people with asthma also suffer from other allergic disorders. In fact, research from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that at least 70 percent of asthmatics also suffer from allergic rhinitis or "hay fever." Nasal allergies and allergic asthma are both triggered by exposure to allergens, initiating a series of events that result in tightening of the airways, swelling of the lining of the airways, nose and eyes, and mucus production. What is IgE and why is it important in allergic asthma?IgE (Immunoglobulin E) is an antibody in the human immune system that plays a critical role in the allergic process. When an individual is sensitized to an allergen, he or she produces an IgE antibody directed against that allergen. The IgE antibody attaches to mast cells. When the individual is exposed to that same allergen again, the allergen binds to the IgE on the mast cell causing it to release substances such as histamine, prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which cause symptoms such as chest tightness, coughing and wheezing. What treatments are available for people suffering from allergic asthma? It is important for people with asthma to seek treatment. First, patients are evaluated to identify their specific allergic triggers and a program of allergen avoidance is recommended. Asthma is treated with medications including anti-inflammatory agents, such as corticosteroids and anti-leukotrienes that decrease inflammation in the lungs, and bronchodilators used for relief of symptoms. Allergen immunotherapy, also known as allergy shots, is a program of injections that reduces allergic sensitization. A new drug currently under review by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), known as anti-IgE, concentrates on short-circuiting the allergic reaction in the body before it even begins. Anti-IgE therapy stops the allergic reaction before it starts, allowing the patient to avoid allergy symptoms that often trigger an asthma attack or lead to the development of asthma attacks.Researchers are looking for targets for new forms of treatment. Future therapies may focus on cytokines, substances that maintain the chronic inflammation responsible for asthma. Other research may also lead to the development of new anti-inflammatory drugs, which may retain the anti-inflammatory effects of corticosteroids but cause fewer systemic side effects. As the more and more developing countries are emerging, more and more air pollution is arising, whether asthma or allergic asthma, the number of people having is rising. They could have acquired this chronic illness rather than having it genetically as the environment is getting more and more dirtier. Eddy Elton is the owner of website, UniqueAsthmaTreatmentSecrets.com. You can subscribe to a free report by visiting his web site at Allergic Asthma and receive updates when the latest to be released on asthma treatment is available.

<b>Is Your Website Content Worth Reading or Obvious Search Engine Bait?</b><br><p>&nbsp;by: <b>Jack Humphrey</b><p><p><p><p>Webmasters are always looking for ways to increase their traffic and exposure. This is natural and will never change. No one is ever content with their traffic levels. <p><p>But problems arise with this reality as well. While it is good to be motivated to get as much traffic as possible, it is tempting to try and cut corners and use tactics that are temporary rather than permanent solutions.<p><p>And there are myriad tactics that can take your entire business down the tubes as well. The trick is not to be tempted with short-term gain over long-term income from your web business. <p><p>Many webmasters are aware that "content is king" and that you have to brand your site to make sales and build credibility. But most people only take these facts at face value and only as they pertain to the search engines. Big mistake.<p><p>Your content is your lifeblood for more reasons than search engine placement. This is your "face" on the net. <p><p>So if you're using new strategies to bring in more targeted traffic, make sure you don't use something that could kill your business just to get some short term traffic.<p><p>Many people are putting article directories on their sites these days. Having a set of articles on your site is great for building credibility and making more sales, if you do it right.<p><p>But as is always the case, I see people taking that to the extreme and missing the point entirely. Now I see some webmasters completely emptying out the big article directories like <a href="http://GoArticles.com" target=new>GoArticles.com</a> to put hundreds or even thousands of articles on their sites.<p><p>With no editorial review they just take the whole category their site fits in best and grab up any and all articles in it. Remember, anyone can get into an article directory whether they can write or not. Whether they are an expert or not. Want those guys on your site representing you?<p><p>I have a smaller article directory than most people at <a href="http://webmastertraffictools.com/articledirectory/" target=new>http://webmastertraffictools.com/articledirectory/</a><p><p>Why so small? Because I review each and every article that is submitted there. There is a very good reason for this.<p><p>To get someone to first visit your site takes money and time. Once you have them there it is easier to get them back if you impress them. <p><p>Whatever methods of temporary website promotion you use, you have to keep in mind that you want something that will work for you for years, not months. Therefore, if all you ever do is troll for temporary traffic you will ALWAYS be promoting as hard as you are today. Wasn't part of the reason you started working online to work less and make more?<p><p>Me, I want to have a network of sites that eventually promote themselves so I can spend the rest of my life on vacation. If you don't start laying down the foundation of that kind of system, you are never going to be able to retire with your site(s) supporting you.<p><p>Putting up content for content's sake is redundant. Other people's content is already on hundreds of other pages.<p><p>You don't stand out in the crowd that way alone. It is temporary at best if it works at all for you, and once people get to your site and realize you have harvested all your content from a directory they have already read through, you've made an enemy, not a customer out of them.<p><p>AND if you were unscrupulous enough to even reprint articles from people who spammed that directory with ads, poor english, poor advice, and everything else, I guarantee your visitors are leaving your site with no respect for you, whatever you sell, and with a deep hatred of "sites like yours" on the net.<p><p>That is not a long-term plan for a web business. See what I mean by temporary? No repeat traffic is no business at all.<p><p>So while my article directories are smaller, they have timely, relevant content from expert authors who can spell and who really spent time on their pieces.<p><p>Therefore I get repeat traffic, more clicks on ads, more sales of products, and a real income from that directory that will last as long as I own the site.<p><p>Points to Ponder:<p><ol><p> <li>Content is not king. GOOD content is king.<p> <li>Repeat business is cheaper than new business.<p> <li>Your name and brand are the only thing of singular value and importance to you on the web.<p> <li>And short-term solutions to getting in the engines are always just that: short-term<p></ol><p><p>Someday, if you are one of the webmasters I talked about above who only see the short-term picture, you are going to get tired of all the work you have to constantly do to keep traffic coming in.<p><p>And the worst part is, since you will have no foundation to rely on when you need a break, you won't be able to take one. If your focus on website promotion is always on short campaigns and tricking search engines temporarily into thinking your site is of actual value, once you stop what you're doing (probably from sheer burnout) your income also stops.<p><p>But if you have the foresight to build a base for your internet business, and you pay attention to and have standards for the kind of content you put up, you will be able to walk away from your business from time to time and the traffic and interest will still be there.<p><p>For me it is unthinkable to base my entire business on temporary solutions for getting traffic and sales when, if you have seen what you can make in the short term, why not get set up to reap those rewards for life?<p><p>But that's just me. I profit greatly from people doing it the other way. Simply because when someone comes to my site and sees content of value, they feel as though they have found an oasis in a desert of trash. A place they will visit more than twice and gladly bookmark.<p><p>You can figure out the value of that kind of response for yourself, as it pertains to your business in particular.<p><p>Between the two choices, I'll take repeat and recommended traffic over fly-by-night, angry, resentful traffic any day of the week!<p><p>Copyright 2005 Jack Humphrey<p><p><p><p><p><table width=100% cellpadding=8 cellspacing=0 border=0 bgcolor=#dddddd><p><tr><td><p><p><b>About The Author</b><br><p><p><p>Jack Humphrey is the author of Power Linking 2 Evolution at <a href="http://power-linking-profits.com" target=new>http://power-linking-profits.com</a> and the CEO of Web Fox Media, LLC at <a href="http://webfoxmedia.com" target=new>http://webfoxmedia.com</a><p><p><p><p><p></td></tr><p></table>

Dimebag Darrell and Lights Out at Alrosa
Columbus lawyer and free lance writer Darry Roseman takes the reader on his personal voyage a few years back, through the 'process' of falling under the target of security at the Alrosa Villa - the nightclub where famed former Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell lost his life during the first 40 seconds of his band's (Damageplan) first set, December 8, 2004. Unlike the crazed gunman Wednesday night - that succeeded in killing four people at Dime's show (including Dime himself), before a brave Columbus police officer shot and killed him, Mr. Roseman was unable to pull off his own caper . . . crafting the unnoticed disappearance of three cold cans of beer. It would appear that unless a typical nightclub has the time to analyze a situation, gather its forces and plan an apprehension - all but the most mundane type of criminal activity can unfold in a place like Alrosa Villa... unfettered - at least until it is far too late - and out of the hands of the club or its employees. The following is an exerpt from Darry Roseman's full article. "It is uncertain whether former Pantera band member, Dimebag Darrell - who lost his life at the Alrosa Villa nightclub here in town two nights ago - understood how security works at the club. Not that it would have made a difference."Some years back, and under some of the same ownership 'Dime' played for this week . . . I became 'involved'. It was after weeknight class at the Capital University Law School, and a completed full day of work besides - that I found myself on my way home and thinking more about a nightcap than case law. The Pat Travers Band (one of my many guitar heroes) was appearing at the Alrosa."A slight detour from my usual route home, put it right 'on my way.'"When I got there, the parking lot was packed. It must've been 10:30 p.m. or so. As usual, I was broke and barely had the money to buy one ticket at the door to get myself into the place. It looked like I didn't even have enough money in my pocket after the 'door' to catch even a whiff of a beer buzz. Music does come first."Please view attached article to read the full story. Chanukah: The Miraculous Power of Eight
"All who are faithful to G-d, follow me!" Rallying cry of the Maccabees as they defied the massive and powerful Greek army. The holiday of Chanukah, celebrated around the world by Jews of every level of observance, is a celebration of miracles. It marks the miraculous victory of a small group of Jewish faithful the Maccabees - over their powerful Greek oppressors almost 2200 years ago. The Greeks worshipped physical beauty, physical strength and the rational mind. They were opposed to Jewish belief not because of the wisdom of the Torah or the details of Jewish practice, but because of the supra-rational faith of the Jews. Unlike other enemies, they didnt seek to annihilate the Jews, but rather to assimilate them. Their campaign was aimed at severing the essential unconditional connection of the Jewish people to G-d and the Torah. That is why the Greeks were so intent upon defiling the Temple, the holiest site of the Jewish people and the center of their spiritual service. In addition to sacrificing pigs and placing idols in the Temple, they defiled all the pure oil that was needed to light the Temples Menorah. When the Greeks were finally defeated and the Temple restored, the Jews searched in vain for pure oil. At last, they found one sealed container, just enough to burn for a single day. They knew that it wouldnt be enough to last until a new supply of oil could be made. Nevertheless, they used that one container of oil to light the Temples Menorah once again. Miraculously, that one container of pure oil burned for 8 days.Today, Chanukah is celebrated for those same 8 days, in remembrance of the great miracles of that time. But as always, Kabbalah tells a deeper story. THE POWER OF EIGHTG-d made the world, including the entire natural order, in seven days - six days of creation and the seventh day of rest. This cycle of seven contains within it, in seed form, all of Creation, everything that can exist within the natural order. (Interestingly, throughout history, virtually every culture on earth has measured time according to this seven-day cycle, which unlike the day, the month, or the year, corresponds to no astrological or natural phenomenon.) The number eight, on the other hand, reflects a light that transcends Creation. Eight is above the limitations of space and time, above the laws of nature. Eight is the level of miracles. Thats why eight corresponds to the time of geula and the revelation of Moshiach, when the limitations of the physical universe and the natural order will no longer block the deeper reality. The Menorah in the Holy Temple had seven lights. The menorah of Chanukah has eight. Inside of you, at your deepest core, you also have that level of eight, a repository of pure oil that is not limited by anything in nature. Although you may not be in touch with it, beneath your everyday sense of who you are lies a vast, untainted potential. When you operate from the level of seven, you are constricted by your circumstances. Who you are and what you have to work with truly might not be enough to allow your light to shine. But when you choose, like the Maccabees of yore, to go beyond measured reason and use whatever you do have, regardless of whether or not it seems like enough, a new reality comes into play. Through committing yourself to do what you can to illuminate yourself and your world, with pure faith and trust that G-d will provide the rest, you can begin to ignite your pure oil the light from the realm of eight. IF ONLY Often, in the course of ordinary life, we feel blocked from fulfilling our true potential. We tell ourselves that we could be better, more - if only This if only can take many forms. If only I had a more nurturing childhood. If only I had more money. If only I were married. If only I were divorced. If only my friends were more supportive. If only I had more time. If only I wasnt afraid. If only I was sure it would work. If only I was a different type. If only I knew howIf only is from the realm of seven. When you operate in your life from seven, what you have, who you know and how you feel actually does make a very big difference. If you need oil for eight days and you only have enough for one, youre out of luck. The power of eight isnt affected by if only. When you operate from eight, you disregard your limiting circumstances and commit yourself to creating the world you want to experience from the pure source of who you are, even if you dont know how. When you do this with trust and faith in G-d, as did the Maccabees, just a very small amount of oil can create all the light you need.WHAT ARE YOUR "IF ONLY'S"?What is it thats standing in the way of your light today? It doesnt have to stop you instead, you can use it to make your light shine! You just have to replace the if only with the vision of what you really want, and be willing to take action toward that vision, one little step at a time.To get started now, ask yourself the following question:If only I had (whatever it is that you think you need) what would I do differently? What dreams have I given up on that I would start bringing to life? Then, once you have the answer, take at least one action on behalf of that dream, an action you wouldnt have taken before. Write a letter of apology. Join a class. Make a phone call. Apply for a new job. Say yes, or say no. Reach out to someone. Do this even if you think it wont be enough to get you through to your goal and watch new things begin to happen in your life. Implementing Microsoft CRM: setup and configuration - notes for IT specialist
Microsoft Business Solutions CRM is web-based CRM application, deploying all the spectrum of recent Microsoft technologies. Weâ™ll try to analyze different needs and implementation scenarios attributed to specific industries and business types, based on our experience.First we would like to emphasize the increasing role of in-house IT department in the strategic decision making. Looking back to the history â" it is probably fair to say that initial CRM applications market issues, such as low successful implementations percentage could be attributed to traditional Sales style of those years â" selling to the top, when charismatic salesperson was trying to jump over the head of IT people and press business owner or top executive guy. Microsoft in our opinion never used this technique and itâ™s CRM implementation is not possible (except when you host it in hosting centers) without everyday IT department involvement. MS CRM works in concert with MS Exchange, Windows Active Directory, SQL Server, BizTalk (integration with Great Plains and in the close future Navision). Utilizing this broad spectrum of Microsoft servers and technologies leads to easy Microsoft CRM acceptance and adoption by IT department (usually the one, having several MS certified professionals and DB administrators). Microsoft oriented IT group easily understands Microsoft CRM setup, tuning, customization, integration and initial data import. It is not a secret that rational way to implement new computer business system lays in the method of evolution, suggesting intelligent integration with existing legacy systems and step-by-step old pieces replacement. Microsoft CRM fits to this approach â" it has open to anyone MS CRM SDK and experienced C# or VB.Net programmer should be capable to program the integration or interface to other system. We are giving you typical setup and integration scenarios, attributed to specific industries below1. Freight Forwarding / Transportation. Companies in this industry usually already have efficient cargo delivering tracking system. MS CRM links several systems into one and plays the role of the initial order entry and customer order status requests with the interface into above mentioned cargo tracking application. You should program such an interface with MS CRM SDK and ADO.Net programming2. Distribution and Wholesale. Multiple companies have legacy ASP or JSP web sites with new or existing customers order entry logic. Typical need is transferring these orders to Microsoft CRM in the form of activity, placed in the order taker on duty queue. You can solve this with multiple techniques. Consider HTTP handler, called from ASP/JSP legacy application, reading MS CRM user credentials from INI file and thus penetrating into MS CRM, where you in turn use MS CRM SDK constructions.3. Pension Funds and Financial institutions. Considering conservative decision making â" there is often the requirement of clear and complete audit to verify past decision making. MS CRM plays this role by automatic logging all the documentation and especially all the incoming and outgoing emails to/from clients. You need MS CRM Exchange connector customization4. Large Enterprises. You can frequently see different kinds of corporate policies, requiring using such applications as Oracle e-Business Suite, or Lotus Domino document workflow and email server. In the first case you need heterogeneous database integration with MS CRM, he second case can be resolved with combining MS CRM SDK and Java Agents programming (from the side of Lotus Notes/Domino).Happy implementing! Auto Detailers and Competitive Aspects of Automobile Detailing
There are both fixed and mobile detailers. Consumers often will use either or both during the life of their car. Mobile Detailing is nice because they come to you. Fixed site auto detailers often work in a controlled environment and can produce higher quality work. Due to the competitive aspects fixed site detailers generally will offer pick up and drop of services. Due to costs to run an automotive detailing shop the prices are often a little higher and this gives the advantage to the mobile auto-detailing practitioner. Many mobile auto detailers are short-term industry players, who run their small businesses for a couple of years and then exit the market. Some auto detailers of both fixed and mobile will say that anyone who has not been in business for at least one year has no business calling them selves a detailer. It takes a lot of experience and training to become a professional detailer, this can take years. We donâ™t see detailers as competition. Most mobile detailers operate out of backs of pick-ups, vans or trailers. There might be 150 to 200 mobile detailers in large markets such as Las Vegas, Houston, Atlanta or Los Angeles. Generally they will wash five to ten cars per day at $12.00-$20.00 each although some get more and also make good tips up to 25%. In addition they may detail one or two cars at $60.00-$100.00. Occasionally they will get $120.00 to $250.00 to detail a car or SUV in areas of extremely good demographics for instance in California, cities such as: Silicon Valley, Century City, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Montecito, Newport Beach, Palm Springs, La Jolla, Laguna Niguel or Rancho BernardoUsually a full detail for a mobile detailing service takes two guys two hours or one person three to four hours. Obviously their volume itself makes them no real threat to full service car washes offering quick details or to fixed site auto detailing businesses with longevity in the market and strong referrals from large customer bases. Have you noticed the auto detailing business in your area? When was the last time you got your car detailed? Where you pleased with the job? What did it cost you? All things to think about indeed."Lance Winslow" - Online Think Tank forum board. If you have innovative thoughts and unique perspectives, come think with Lance; www.WorldThinkTank.net/wttbbs/
